Happy Birthday To My WONDERFUL Husband!

Today I want to wish my wonderful husband a very Happy Birthday!! He turns 27! He said he doesn't feel any older, but neither of us can deny that the closer we get to 30, the older we feel. I still feel like we should be in our early 20's, but the time keeps ticking on. It's been great though....and we love every minute of our lives. We are truly blessed with wonderful family, health and friends!!

Even though Scott works today (and a much longer day than usual unfortunately), I hope he has a wonderful day. Kaelyn and I will be thinking of him often and waiting for him to get home. She's talked with him on the phone and said "Happy Birthday Daddy....I Love You" which I know just melted his heart! He is such an amazing husband and Daddy...we are so lucky to have him in our lives! Maybe this weekend we can do something fun to celebrate!

I'm Still Here....

I can't believe it's been SO long since I posted here last! Things have been quite busy lately and I've been working on a post since last week, but just never got it finished until just now. I used to be so organized....as time goes on, that has gone out the window I'm afraid. A little update since I posted last with what we've been up to....

The garage sale we had a couple weekends ago went great! It went much better than I had ever expected it to. Before we had it, I began thinking it was more work than it was actually worth, but I was SO wrong! We made quite a bit of money and were able to clear out much of our storage closet. Such a great feeling to be cleaning things out before the baby gets here in 91 days....not that I'm counting or anything...;) I'm very thankful to my parents for helping us out with the sale and with Kaelyn...I couldn't imagine trying to run the garage sale and watch her at the same time. She loved her time with Grammy and Grandpa!

About a week ago, we finally installed the countertops we've been wanting in our kitchen. The previous countertops were quite old...probably original to the house. (I will post pics soon of the before and after). It looks great and adds such a warm feeling to this space. We also picked up a new stove and microwave, which really looks nice too. Although our house is on the market, there haven't been any offers for a while, so we've decided to take it off the market if it doesn't sell by the end of September. I don't want to be moving when I'm 8 or 9 months pregnant, and once the baby comes we won't be able to have showings and go out in the middle of winter whenever there is one. We'll put it back on the market in the Spring or Summer and see what happens. We love it here, so whenever we're supposed to sell...even if it's months down the road, we're ok with that. :)

Last week Scott was gone for a few days for work, so Kaelyn and I went and spent some time at my parents house. We had a great time. It's always nice to have some company while he's gone, as well as a little help with Kaelyn too.

This past weekend Scott's family had their annual golf outing. My parents were invited to come along and we all had a great time! I didn't golf, but Scott and my Dad did and loved it!! They had a super yummy meal and it was great to spend time with them all.

Other than that I've been keeping busy with my other blog, which I guess I consider to be somewhat of an at home business of sorts. I am being contacted by many more companies to offer reviews and giveaways to my readers, which means much more time spent on it on my part. It's great though, and I love every minute of it. If you haven't ever visited my Mom Blog, check it out at A Mom's Balancing Act. That's where much of my time is spent when I have some down time.

Oh, and the pregnancy is going great as well! I'm 26 weeks now and feel great. I can't believe we're about to enter the third trimester already. I'm getting very excited to meet our little one...only 13 weeks left! :) Here's a pic of me and my growing bump taken last week at 25 weeks.

Couldn't Ask For A Better Weekend

What a fun and busy weekend we had!! The Freeborn County Fair was going on last week...so Friday night we decided to take Kaelyn and see all the animals. She enjoyed it last year, but this even more!!! She was even big enough to go on a couple of pony rides (she talked Scott's Mom and Aunt into it :)) and had a blast...I think that was her favorite part of the entire fair!! It was so fun to see her interacting with the animals and loving it so much...it's really the little things in life that are so wonderful!

Friday night we decided last minute that we'd like to take Kaelyn up to Como Zoo before the weather gets too cool. Little did we know we would be picking one of the most humid and hot days of the entire summer! It turned out great though and we all had a great time...my brother Jake even got to come which was a lot of fun! We took Kaelyn to the Zoo last summer too...but again, just like with the fair, she enjoyed it even more this time! She LOVED seeing all the animals...especially the monkies...that is all she talks about now. :) Her sad little face shows how much she would miss the animals...this was taken of her as we were leaving the Zoo.

Sunday we went to visit my Grammy who's in the hospital. We met up with my parents for lunch and then went and visited her for a while. It was nice to see her doing well after her knee surgery, and am so happy that she gets to go home today!!

Although a long weekend, it was full of fun and I couldn't have asked for anything better! Now we're here on a Monday, pretty tired but loving every minute of it! Scott and I are busy planning for a Garage Sale we're having this weekend and I'm so thankful my parents will be here to help out with that as well...should be fun!

Baby Gaskill is doing great! I'm beginning to think he/she is going to be a soccer player with all the moving around and kicking that's been going on ;)....I love it though...feeling the baby move and watching as my belly shifts from one side to another is one of my favorite parts of pregnancy. I am anxious to meet our little one and can't believe he/she will be here in just 15 weeks! It sounds like a long time...but I know the time will go by so quickly!!

Kaelyn is 21 Months Old

Today our little girl is 21 months old!!! That hardly seems possible. In just a few more months she will turn 2 years old...I can't believe it! She's such a sweet little girl...so full of life and a joy to be around! Her vocabulary is growing so quickly. Each day she says new words and sentences...we can't hardly believe how quickly she went from a "baby" to a little "toddler". I would have to say my favorite sentence that she says is "I Love You Mama"...melts my heart every time!! (I'm still trying to get it on video...but we either can't catch it, or can't hear it...so I'll keep trying).

I can't wait to see her as a big sister...I know she will be amazing! She's such a big helper and very caring. November will be a very special month...our little girl will turn 2 years old and our second baby will join our family! We feel incredibly blessed! :)
